HANDYMAN / CLASS 2 HGV DRIVER, Banbury, Oxfordshire

Description: Good behind the wheel? Then a private yard is looking for you! The role is said to be best suited to a “Class 2 vehicle driver who wants a better work / home balance as there are no nights out driving.” It’s a fulltime position that comes with a one-bedroom cottage (all utility bills paid), with a salary dependent on age and experience. While a rural background is required for the role, experience with horses is not a deal breaker. The job entails driving a Class 2 HGV horse lorry to events, vehicle maintenance, general yard duties, and occasional dog walking/dog sitting.


  

PONY TREKKING CENTRE STAFF (S/T), Fairbourne, Gwynedd.

Description: Fancy a summer job working in a place with no vowels? Then step this way! Bwlchgwyn Farm is looking for staff for a six-week period. Situated on the Welsh Coastal Path with magnificent views overlooking the Mawddach Estuary, the North Wales coastline and Snowdonia National Park, applicants need to be competent riders, over 18 and “not afraid of working.” No salary information is given, but shared accommodation is said to be available.

SECOND GROOM FOR PONY STUD, Newbury, Berkshire

Description: Feeling chilly this summer? Then this job comes with a centrally-heated flat with all costs paid! A pony stud in the Newbury area is looking for a second groom to join the team. You will be required to help the stud groom in general yard duties and care of the ponies. The job is said to suit “someone with good basic knowledge, who is confident in handling horses and ponies and has the ability to take responsibility and sole charge when required.” No salary is given, but as mentioned, there is accommodation available.

 

 

SALES REPRESENTATIVE, West Midlands/United Kingdom

Description: Dream job here for those with a passion for equine fashion. HKM is looking

for “a motivated, ambitious individual to join our team as soon as possible.” The role entails providing strategic support and advice for customers, targeted further development of customer base, active analysis of the market environment and initiation of necessary measures amongst other specialist sales type criteria. The ideal candidate for the job will have several years of proven professional sales/customer service experience, experience in equestrian sports, full UK driving licence, and a good knowledge of MS Office. As this is a German company, a knowledge of German would be a bonus as there will be occasional travel to Germany. No specific salary details are given though performance-related remuneration is mentioned along with special payments, a company mobile phone and a company car.

LECTURER IN EQUINE, Preston

Description: If you’ve got the knowledge – and the qualifications to prove it – Myerscough College & University Centre want to hear from you. They are looking for an equine professional able to teach HE and FE learners as part of their academic team in the north west of England.

As one of the top five largest land-based and sports colleges in the UK, Myerscough offers a generous holiday allowance of 40 days pro rata, plus bank holidays, and there are flexi hour possibilities.
