Duties include the usual yard work as well as daily care and management of up to 140 donkeys, ponies and mules. Applicants MUST be at least 20 years old and have significant work experience in the equine industry. The right individuals will have a quiet, calm, confident manner around horses and special donkey training will be given. But, most importantly, this is a role requiring patience and kindness. Description: Bethell Racing are looking for a Head Person to join their expanding Group 1 Winning Team. The successful candidate will be reliable and hardworking with good communication skills. As well as staff management skills, a good standard of horse husbandry is needed as well as the ability to liaise with vets and farriers etc. The job involves helping to manage the day-to-day care of “an exciting team of horses” and oversee staff riding out. The ability to ride out is a bonus, but not considered essential. As well as a competitive wage, a newly refurbished apartment is offered and there is overtime, bonuses, and a pension scheme.
